Frédéric Rasera is a sociologist, associate professor at the University of Lyon 2.

His work focuses on the condition of professional sportsmen. In this perspective, he has conducted ethnographic studies on the work of professionnal football. He is the author of Des footballeurs au travail. Au cœur d’un club professionnel (Agone, 2016) and co-directed a special issue of the revue Actes de la recherche en sciences sociales on « Sports ranking » (n°209, 2015/4).
